The Blue Mountains is only 90 minutes from downtown Sydney and can be reached by car, rail, shuttle and scheduled services.
By Road:
The most direct approach to the Blue Mountains is via the M4 Motorway, leading you from the outskirts of Sydney to the base of the Mountains at Lapstone, or use the Bells Line of Road via Windsor and Richmond as an alternate route.
By Rail : Train Timetables
Taxis, Limousines, The Airport Rail Link, Sydney Airport Express Buses and courtesy buses will take you from Sydney International Airport to Central Railway Station where trains to the Blue Mountains leave Sydney Central Station departing platforms 12/13 hourly.Usually stopping at Strathfield, Parramatta, Penrith and all stations to Springwood, Katoomba, Mt Victoria or Lithgow.

By Coach:
You can travel to the Blue Mountains by using the daily GX255 service of Greyhound Pioneer or McCaffertys.
Coaches depart Sydney from Eddy Avenue and will set down in Katoomba at the E & W bus stop on the Great Western Highway or at Lithgow at McDonalds Family Restaurant.
